Ireland’s #1 Ballad Band “The Druids” Live at The AOH Hall Sunday March 19, 2017

Don’t miss your chance to see Ireland’s #1 Ballad Band “THE DRUIDS” live at the AOH Hall 25300 Five Mile Rd. Redford, MI on Sunday March 19 at 7pm. The Druids from County Kildare Ireland will be bringing their songs and stories of Ireland with beautiful harmonies and telling the history behind the songs once again. Last March The Druids performance at the AOH was SOLD OUT and this year will be no exception. Celtic Thunder Superstar Emmet Cahill Live At The Acorn Theater in Three Oaks Michigan

Emmet Cahill the very talented singer from the super group “Celtic Thunder” is coming to west Michigan on Sunday March 5, 2017 at 2:30 pm. Emmet will be performing at The Acorn Theater in Three Oaks Michigan as part of his album launch tour for his first solo album “Emmet Cahill’s Ireland”. Join Emmet for a collection of Irish classics that have been passed down from generation to generation. Don’t miss this chance to see and hear this Irish superstar up close and in person. Motor City Irish Fest Fundraiser

8th Annual Motor City Irish Fest

Save the dates for the 8th annual Motor City Irish Fest. Father’s Day weekend June 16, 17 & 18, 2017. Located at Greenmead Historical Park in Livonia. 2 Stages of live Irish music with over 20 Irish bands including Scythian, The Druids, The Steel City Rovers, Stone Clover, Blackthorn and many more. Irish dancers, a children’s area, cultural tent, great retail vendors, Gaelic Football, Irish whiskey tasting, food vendors and a great beer and whiskey tent along with many other cultural events. Irish Heritage Night at Comerica Park Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins

Celebrate your Irish Heritage with the United Irish Societies Irish Heritage Night at Comerica Park on Friday September 22, 2017. Watch the Detroit Tigers take on the Minnesota Twins with your family and friends while celebrating your Irish Heritage. Live Irish bands and Irish step dancers will perform before the game. Project Children

The M.I.A C.C. is proud to support the wonderful program “Project Children”. Project Children is an international program that provides business internships for college juniors and seniors from Queen’s University Belfast and from University of Ulster with businesses in the United States. Chamber members Tim & Kittie Higgins are the Michigan Coordinators of this wonderful project. Now is the time to request to have an intern from Northern Ireland work for your company this summer. There are only a few interns slotted for Michigan this summer so you need to act now if you are interested. Internships are 8 weeks long and run from the end of June to the end of August. The deadline to request an intern is March 1 so don’t delay.

St. Patrick Parade Downtown Detroit

Celebrate your Irish heritage at the 58th annual UIS Detroit St. Patrick Parade in downtown Detroit on Sunday March 12, 2017. The parade theme this year is “Corktown, The Heart and Home of the Detroit Irish”. Join Parade Grand Marshal Brian Dunleavy as he leads the parade route down Michigan Avenue through the heart of Corktown to kick off a week of celebrating the Patron Saint of Ireland as we celebrate our Irish heritage. The parade begins at noon. We hope to see you there. Slainte!

St. Patrick’s Day V.I.P. Event

Mark your calendars for Thursday March 16, 2017. The M.I.A.C.C. is proud to host a V.I.P. St. Patrick’s Day Event at the Signature Grille in downtown Detroit from 6-8 pm. This event is restricted to chamber members and V.I.P. guests only. Our distinguished guests include the Consul General of Ireland Brian O’Brien, Michigan Lt. Governor Brian Calley and our Emcee for the evening, Wayne County Circuit Judge Paul Cusick. More information and details will be coming soon.
